Taipei Edible Landscape transforms an urban green belt into an open field of landscape, cultivation, and public participation. More than planting greenery, the design integrates vegetables, herbs, pathways, gravel, and wooden elements into a cityscape that can be walked through, cared for, and harvested.
Organized planting strips and natural materials create a soft green buffer beside the urban road, while reconnecting people with the relationship between land and daily food. Visitors can walk, observe plant growth, and take part in harvesting. Wu Meimao planning the project turns public greenery from a purely visual landscape into an edible garden for education, interaction, sharing, and urban nourishment.
