A Summer of Nature, Friendship, and Discovery

與孩子在自然裡重新認識教育

 

Spending the summer at Green School Bali with friends and our children changed our idea of education: the wall-less bamboo classroom encouraged conversation, the soaring Heart of School showed how natural materials can shape community, and the riverside bridge turned every walk into a lesson about landscape, care, and attention.

 

Inside the Arc, children looked upward at the sweeping bamboo structure while adults admired how experimentation, craftsmanship, and sustainability became part of everyday learning; we left feeling that the most meaningful family journey was not simply seeing remarkable architecture, but sharing curiosity, teamwork, outdoor discovery, and environmental responsibility in a place where school, nature, and life were never separated during an unforgettable holiday shared across generations and cultures in Bali.

 

暑假期間，青埕團隊及好友們帶著孩子走進峇里島綠色學校，無牆竹教室立刻改變了我們對「上課」的想像：竹桌椅、自然通風與四周綠意讓學習不再被封閉在水泥盒中，孩子可以聽見風聲、看見植物，也更願意主動討論；官方將校園定位為沉浸自然、培養改變者的永續學習環境，暑期活動也讓家庭共同參與探索。

 

層層展開的茅草屋頂與彎曲竹柱形成如生命般生長的「校園之心」，它不只展現竹材的力量，也使我們看見建築不用追求冰冷與筆直，仍能容納教學與交流，讓孩子從空間理解材料、結構及文化。

 

竹橋跨越河流與巨石，人在林間行走時必須放慢腳步、感受水聲與地形，這趟路讓大人與孩子明白，自然並非校園外的風景，而是每天都需要觀察、尊重並維護的老師。

 

大型竹拱空間，連續弧線在沒有厚重牆面的情況下撐起寬闊屋頂，孩子興奮地仰頭尋找竹構交會的位置，感受到教育最珍貴的並非塞入更多知識，而是讓好奇心、友誼、動手實作與環境責任在真實生活中一起發生。
