Bathroom Poetics: The Art of 316 Stainless Steel

 

This series combines the material and system concept of Geberit stainless steel pipes to reconsider the relationship between “pipe” and “faucet.” In traditional bathroom hardware, the faucet is often seen as the final visible product, while the piping system remains hidden inside the wall. This project reverses that logic by transforming the pipe itself into a design language. The water supply structure is no longer only a functional carrier, but also a source of form, proportion, and craftsmanship.

 

The concept begins with the connection between architecture and pipe. The square volume symbolizes architecture and wall surfaces, while the circular pipe represents water flow and system connection. Square and circle, rigidity and softness, concealment and exposure form a clear dialogue within the work. The faucet body maintains clean geometric lines, while stainless steel and chrome reflections create a precise, technological, and refined bathroom aesthetic.

 

衛浴之境・316不鏽鋼的衛浴詩學

 

本系列結合吉博力不鏽鋼水管的材料與系統概念，重新思考「水管」與「龍頭」之間的關係。傳統衛浴五金多半被視為末端產品，而管線則隱藏於牆內；本案反向將管道本身轉化為設計語彙，讓供水結構不只是功能載體，也成為造型、比例與工藝的來源。

 

設計概念從「建築」與「管」的結合出發，以方形量體象徵建築與牆面，以圓形管件象徵水的流動與系統。方與圓、剛與柔、隱藏與外顯，在作品中形成的對話。龍頭主體保留俐落的幾何線條，搭配不鏽鋼與鍍鉻表面的反射特性，使產品在簡潔中呈現精密感與科技感。
