Words Suspended in Light

 

The Flying Scroll is a suspended installation inspired by the flowing form of a traditional manuscript. Using 6mm transparent acrylic as its main material, the work transforms written lyrics into a light, floating spatial object. The text of Encountering Feitian, written by Vincent Fang, is carried along the curved surface, allowing words, movement, and space to become one continuous gesture.

 

The transparent acrylic gives the scroll a sense of weightlessness. It catches light subtly, yet does not visually block the surrounding space. Its soft S-shaped curve suggests wind, flight, rhythm, and the movement of a celestial figure. Instead of presenting text as a flat surface, the design lets the words rise, turn, and flow through the air.

 

This work is not only a decorative object. It is a poetic bridge between literature, material, and spatial imagination.

 

讓文字在空間中流動

 

「飛行書卷」以傳統卷軸為意象，結合方文山作詞的〈遇見飛天〉文字內容，將平面的歌詞轉化為懸浮於空中的立體書寫。作品使用 6mm 透明壓克力材質製作，透過彎曲的曲線造型，讓書卷不再只是被展開閱讀的物件，而像是被風托起、正在空間中飛行的文字軌跡。

 

透明壓克力具有輕盈、透光與低存在感的特質，使書卷在空間中保有漂浮感，不會阻斷視線，也能與自然光、室內光線產生柔和變化。曲線由上而下延伸，形成如絲帶、雲氣或飛天衣帶般的動態感，呼應「飛天」所帶來的飄逸、自由與想像。

 

此設計不只是展示歌詞，而是讓文字成為空間的一部分。人在仰望與行走之間，能感受到書法、音樂、光線與材料共同形成的詩意，使作品成為文化記憶與現代空間之間的輕盈連結。
