This wall art series is based on Guo Xia-Yi’s stainless-steel folded panel structure and the poetic language of two songs written by Vincent Fang. The work transforms a wall from a flat decorative surface into a spatial installation that changes according to the viewer’s position. Through the depth, rhythm, and angled surfaces of folded metal panels, the artwork creates a visual experience in which different lyrics can be revealed from different sides.
From the front, the piece appears as an abstract composition of color, shadow, and repeated vertical folds. However, when viewed from one side, one set of lyrics gradually emerges; when viewed from the opposite side, another text appears. This changing visual effect gives the wall a narrative quality. It suggests that the same space, like the same memory or emotion, can carry more than one meaning depending on where one stands.
The color arrangement strengthens this concept. Red and orange tones express warmth, passion, memory, and emotional intensity, while deep blue introduces calmness, distance, and poetic silence. As light touches the stainless-steel folded surfaces, the material produces subtle reflections, allowing the words and colors to shift with movement. The lyrics are no longer only read as text; they become rhythm, light, and spatial perception.
The structure designed by Guo Xia-Yi gives the work its architectural order. Each folded plate is precise, repetitive, and functional, yet together they create a soft visual transformation. Vincent Fang’s lyrics bring cultural and emotional depth, turning the installation into a meeting point between music, literature, craftsmanship, and contemporary spatial design.
Overall, this artwork is not simply a wall feature. It is a poetic device that invites viewers to move, observe, and rediscover meaning through perspective. It allows two songs, two emotions, and two visual identities to coexist within one sculptural surface.
