A Sliding Door of Texture, Light, and Mechanism

 

This barn door combines charred wood, fluted glass, and custom stainless-steel sliding hardware to create a balance between raw texture and refined movement. The carbonized wood surface presents a deep black tone and tactile grain, giving the door a strong architectural presence. It is not a flat decorative panel, but a material surface that records fire, texture, and time.

 

The fluted glass softens the visual boundary. It allows light to pass through while blurring the view, creating privacy without completely closing the space. The vertical lines of the glass echo the wood grain and strengthen the door’s quiet rhythm.

 

The stainless-steel sliding hardware is intentionally exposed. Its wheels, rail, and metal details turn function into visual precision. The door becomes more than a partition; it is a moving object where material, light, and mechanism are honestly expressed.

 

材質、光線與機械結構的移動界面

 

此穀倉門以「碳化木、長虹玻璃與不鏽鋼特殊滑門五金」作為設計核心，呈現粗獷材質與精密機構並存的空間語言。碳化木表面保留深黑色澤與木紋肌理，帶有火焰處理後的原始質感，使門片不只是隔間，而是一面具有時間感與材料表情的立面。

 

長虹玻璃則在厚重的黑色木質中引入光線。它能讓光穿透，卻同時模糊視線，達到半透明、保有隱私的效果。直向玻璃紋理與木紋方向相互呼應，使門片在開合之間產生細緻的光影變化，也減輕碳化木的沉重感。

 

不鏽鋼滑門五金刻意外露，讓軌道、滑輪與金屬構件成為設計的一部分。它不隱藏機械結構，而是讓使用者看見門片如何被支撐、移動與定位。整體設計不靠多餘裝飾，而是透過真實材料、透光層次與精準五金，展現穀倉門沉穩、俐落且具工藝感的空間特色。
