Books as the Most Beautiful Scenery of the Home

 

The homeowner is a professor in the Department of Life Sciences. To reflect his profession and academic background, the design introduces a spiral staircase inspired by the structure of DNA. Since knowledge begins with reading, books become the central element of the entire space, shaping both its visual identity and emotional atmosphere.

 

The design responds to the owners’ lifestyle by balancing shared living and independent personal space. Vertical and horizontal lines create a modern and refined spatial expression, while the staircase, the outdoor view, and the book wall support one another to form a harmonious composition. The DNA-inspired staircase combines lightness and structure, connecting the living room, kitchen, dining area, working area, study, and bedroom into a smooth and continuous spatial experience.

 

White is used as the main color of the interior. It reflects natural light from the windows, making the home feel bright and open. At the same time, it highlights the colorful books and allows the blue sky and sunset outside to become part of the interior scenery, connecting the 15th- and 16th-floor residence with nature.

 

書，是家中最美的風景

 

屋主為生命科學系教授，因此設計以 DNA 結構為靈感，打造一座具象徵意義的旋轉樓梯，呼應屋主的專業背景與知識精神。由於知識源自閱讀，書籍成為本案最重要的空間核心，也形塑出整體住宅的視覺焦點與生活氣質。

 

設計同時回應男女主人對生活方式的需求，在共享與獨立之間取得平衡。俐落的垂直與水平線條，塑造現代而精緻的空間表情；樓梯、窗外景色與書牆彼此呼應，共同形成和諧且具吸引力的構圖。以 DNA 為意象的旋轉樓梯，結合輕盈與結構感，串連客廳、廚房、餐廳、工作區、書房與臥室，使上下樓層與不同機能自然流動。

 

空間以白色作為基底，反射窗外自然光，使室內更加明亮開闊，也襯托出書籍與書牆的繽紛色彩。同時，窗外的藍天與夕陽也被引入室內，讓位於十五、十六樓的高樓住宅，與外部自然環境產生連結。
