Reading Life, Opening a Book Brings Benefit

 

As the old saying goes, “In books, there are houses of gold; in books, there is beauty.” Reading is not only the accumulation of knowledge, but also a way to cleanse the mind and settle everyday life. Each time a book is opened, inspiration and strength can be found within its pages. I read, therefore I am.

 

The homeowner is a university professor. After several discussions, the design takes “books,” long connected to his daily life, as the central concept, creating a humanistic residence filled with a scholarly atmosphere. The ceiling is shaped like an opened book, symbolizing the opening of a cover, a book, and a new chapter of life.

 

Light enters through the window frames, revealing layers of space from different angles. The soft sofa, double-sided bookshelf, and the harmony of black, white, and wood tones connect reading, living, and refined interior aesthetics.

 

閱讀生活，開卷有益

 

古云：「書中自有黃金屋，書中自有顏如玉。」閱讀不只是知識的累積，更是一種洗滌心靈、安放日常的生活方式。只要翻開書頁，便能在文字之中獲得啟發與力量；我閱讀，故我在。

 

本案屋主為大學教授，設計經過多次討論後，以長年陪伴其生活的「書」作為核心概念，打造一處充滿書香氣息的人文住宅。空間透過書本的形體與意象展開設計，天花以翻開書頁的姿態作為造型語彙，象徵打開封面、打開書本，也打開生活的新篇章。

 

光線透過窗櫺，以不同角度折射出空間的層次；沙發以柔軟圓潤的姿態回應生活的放鬆；雙面書架則串聯閱讀、展示與動線，讓空間在開放與沉靜之間取得平衡。設計以黑、白、木色三重奏，砌成一室好宅，並透過閱讀串聯生活、人文與傢飾美學，讓日常中的點滴細節，都成為值得細讀的生活篇章。
