Tuning into Passionate Colors — Life Can Be Simple yet Rich

 

Located in the mountains of Wulai, this old house is surrounded by beautiful lake and mountain scenery. Inspired by the owner’s love for African drums and African culture, the design echoes the rhythm of nature and brings lively African sounds into a simple, rustic atmosphere. Life is brought back to its essence, awakening the senses through primitive rhythm and tactile materials.

 

A hidden rhythm flows throughout the space, with small details guiding the eye from one scene to another. Behind the old entrance gate, a spacious terrace opens outward. The original railing was replaced, wooden flooring was added, and a canopy was built to create a natural and comfortable outdoor setting. An orange-red wall beside the gate introduces a touch of passion.

 

The African colors of red, yellow, and green appear not as large decorative surfaces, but as subtle accents. Rock-textured flooring, exposed ceilings, handcrafted details, and colorful lighting wires together create a simple yet vibrant living atmosphere.

 

調出熱情色調 -- 生活可以簡單 同時豐富

 

這處位於烏來山上的舊式房子，坐擁湖光山色的美景，屋主以自身熱愛的非洲鼓與非洲文化呼應自然美景與韻律，質樸的氛圍中，流洩出充滿生命力的非洲樂音，他讓生活回歸基本，讓最貼近原始的律動與觸感，甦醒感官。

 

這裡一切有著潛藏的韻律，總有一些細節引領著視線往另一處去。古舊的大門後一片寬闊的露台，更換了原有的欄杆，鋪上木頭地坪與搭建的遮雨棚，一切舒適自然，大門旁的牆面髹上帶點橘的紅色，為空間透出點點熱情。非洲三原色成了空間的主題之一，然而卻不是大片大片宣染式的使用，而是存在於細節之中，恰到好處地為這個舒適空間增添熱情。

 

地板有著自然觸感的岩石地磚，凹凸不平的地面原始而純粹，天花是拆除原有的假天花後裸露的建築本質，粗糙的肌理其實是拆除師傅們費時費神處理後的成果。屋裡的裝飾儘管簡單卻各各別具特色，廳區的燈具連結紅、黃、綠三種色彩的電線，搭配絕緣用的礙子，構成具有藝術感的裝置。
