Luminous Material Garden: A Sample Center for Custom Home Design
The Custom Home Design Sample Center is redesigned as a bright, open, and carefully organized space for material selection and design communication. Based on the provided images, the project moves away from the image of a conventional sample showroom or storage room. Instead, it becomes a clean material laboratory where designers and clients can study textures, colors, finishes, and spatial atmosphere together.
White is the main spatial language. The ceiling, walls, exposed pipes, lighting tracks, and display counters are all treated in a unified white tone. This creates a neutral background that allows the material samples to become the focus. The exposed mechanical system is not hidden; it is painted white and transformed into part of the interior order. As a result, the space feels both technical and calm, like a professional studio for precise design decisions.
Lighting plays an important role in the project. Long linear lights and circular ceiling lamps are arranged across the open ceiling, creating an even and clear brightness. This is especially important for a sample center, because materials must be seen accurately. The central display counter works as a working table, a comparison surface, and a communication platform. Designers and clients can gather around it, compare finishes, and discuss the direction of a customized home.
The use of plants softens the clean white environment. Greenery appears along the walls, beside furniture, and at visual focal points, bringing a sense of life into the showroom. This suggests that custom home design is not only about panels, colors, and construction details, but also about comfort, atmosphere, and daily living. Glass partitions, shutters, low platforms, and wooden elements add further layers to the open plan.
Overall, the project transforms a material selection center into a living design interface. It combines professional clarity, natural softness, and showroom flexibility, allowing the process of choosing materials to become more intuitive, comfortable, and aesthetically meaningful.
